The receiver monitors the on/off status of the light curtain and processes the on/off signal of the light curtain through an internal circuit, which is connected to the PLC or alarm circuit through a transmission line to stop the equipment or issue a safety alarm.

Light Curtain Guarding Selection method
(1) The protection height: refers to the effective protection height of the safety light curtain, and the distance between the first beam and the last beam, which is called the effective protection height. Effective protection height is also the required protection height for machinery and the travel distance of machinery operation.
(2) Protection distance: A safety light curtain is formed by a transmitter and a receiver to form an infrared protection beam wall to protect the operator's safety. The protection distance is the distance between the transmitter and the receiver.
(3) Optical axis spacing: refers to the distance between adjacent optical axes, which is selected according to the needs. For protecting fingers, a 5mm or 10mm spacing can be selected; for protecting palms, a 20mm spacing can be selected; for protecting arms, 30mm or 40mm spacing can be selected; for protecting the human body, a 60mm spacing can be selected. When selecting the optical axis spacing, it needs to be based on the customer's mechanical protection needs.
(4) Choose the appropriate safety light curtain guarding output mode: according to your needs, including relay output, NPN output, dual NPN output, dual PNP output, controller output, etc.
(6) Installation methods: include two-end installation, spiral arm steel pipe installation, L-shaped side installation, etc. You can choose according to the needs of the device.
