Garantta Through-beam Slot Type Sensor, it is ultra-accurate, ultra-sensitive, ultra-reliable, and it can be designed into any production process. It eliminates the calibration issues and complexities of fiber optic sensors. Its ruggedness and built-in reliability make it suitable for demanding applications such as part position control, edge detection, fixture positioning, part ejection, pallet handling, automated pick and place, and error protection.

 

Garantta photoelectric slot sensor primarily consists of a light source, a receiver, and a detection slot. Its operating principle is to utilize a light emitter and a receiver, mounted face-to-face on opposite sides of a slot. When the emitter emits infrared or visible light, the receiver can receive this beam unless there are any obstructing objects. When an object enters the slot, the beam is blocked, reducing its intensity and causing a change in the receiver's output signal, enabling object detection and counting.

Slot Type Sensor

The quality of the Slot Sensor can be judged by the following steps:

 

1. Appearance inspection
Casing: Check for cracks or damage.

Lens: Make sure the lens is clean and free of dirt.

Wiring: Check whether the wiring is firm, loose or broken.

 

2. Power supply check
Voltage: Confirm that the power supply voltage meets the specification requirements.

Polarity: Make sure the Slot Type Sensor of power supply polarity is correct.

 

3. Function test
No object blocking: When there is no object, the output signal should be normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC).

Object blocking: Block the light path and the output signal should switch states.

 

4. Sensitivity test
Response time: Block and remove the object to observe whether the response time meets the specifications.

Detection distance: Test whether the maximum and minimum detection distances meet the specifications.

 

5. Output signal check
Voltage/current: Use a multimeter to measure the output signal to ensure that it meets the specifications.
