The Garantta GCS111 Color Detection Sensor is an industrial sensor used to detect specific color markings on objects. It utilizes built-in RGB three-color LEDs for high-precision, high-speed identification.

 

The core of the Garantta GCS111 Color Detection Sensor is its built-in red, green, and blue (RGB) three-color LEDs. It has two operating modes, suitable for different detection needs:

Color Mark Mode (Ultra-high speed): Suitable for high-speed production lines. This mode automatically selects the color with the highest contrast from the three LEDs for single-color detection, with a response time of ≤45µs. Its key advantage is that it does not rely on the amount of reflected light, but rather on the contrast between the color mark and the background, ensuring more stable detection even with reflective materials or changing ambient light.

Color Mode (High precision): Suitable for applications requiring precise color differentiation. This mode uses all three RGB lights simultaneously and analyzes the proportion of reflected light to determine the color, effectively identifying color marks even against patterned or textured backgrounds.

1.Product Functions

  • Both color mark sensors and color sensors are photoelectric sensors, but they differ in their functions. A color mark sensor identifies color differences based on the color difference (grayscale difference) between two color patches. Also known as a contrast sensor, its primary function is "positioning."
  • An RGB color sensor determines a specific color based on "RGB color." Its primary function is to locate and determine the color.

 

2.Detection Capabilities

  • Color mark sensors and color sensors also differ in their detection capabilities. Color mark sensors are commonly used to detect various types of labels. They can accurately detect even subtle differences in background color and have extremely fast detection response speeds. The Mark Color Detection Sensor's automatic wavelength adaptation allows it to detect minute differences in grayscale values without interference from background color.
