1. The detection distance varies depending on the material of the object, as shown in the figure below.
2. Installation: Screw-mounted. Due to temperature and voltage fluctuations, generally install at 85% of the rated detection distance.
3. The detection surface should be regularly cleaned of metal dust and other deposits to prevent performance degradation.
4. Operating Temperature: -25°C to +65°C; Relative Humidity: 35-95% HR.
5. Vibration: Endurance: 10-55Hz, 1.5mm complex amplitude, 2 hours each in the X, Y, and Z directions.
6. Shock: Endurance: 500m/s (approximately 50g), 10 times in the X, Y, and Z directions.

Q: Is the detection accuracy of Diffuse Sensor with Background Suppression affected by factors such as the color, size, and color of the object being detected?
- Object Color and Reflectivity
Dark colors (such as black plastic and carbon fiber) or objects made of highly light-absorbing materials have very low reflectivity (typically <10%), which weakens the light signal received by the sensor, potentially leading to false detection of "no object detected" or shortening the actual detection distance from the nominal value (e.g., a nominal 100mm range may only detect 80mm).
Light colors (such as white foam and silver metal) or objects made of highly reflective materials have very high reflectivity (typically >80%), which can result in excessive reflected light, causing the sensor to mistakenly identify "farther objects" as having reached the detection position, resulting in an inflated detection distance.
- Object Surface Condition
Smooth, flat surfaces (such as glass and mirrored metal) produce specular reflections, which focus the reflected light. If the sensor's receiving end is misaligned with the reflected light path, signal instability and accuracy fluctuations can occur (e.g., repeated detections of the same location may result in deviations of up to ±5mm). Objects with rough or uneven surfaces (such as frosted plastics and castings) produce diffuse reflection, dispersing the reflected light and improving signal stability. However, if the surface is deeply recessed (such as in deep grooves), the recessed area may be misjudged as "missing" due to the lack of reflected light.
- Object Size and Shape
When an object is smaller than the Diffuse Sensor with Background Suppression's "minimum detection spot" (for example, a 10mm sensor spot diameter detecting a 5mm screw), the reflected light will not cover enough area, making the sensor unable to reliably identify the object, resulting in accuracy issues such as sometimes detecting and sometimes not detecting.
When an irregularly shaped object (such as a special-shaped part) moves, the "effective reflective surface" facing the sensor changes (for example, from a flat surface to an inclined surface), causing fluctuations in reflected light intensity and resulting in detection distance deviations.
