The M18 Optical Laser Sensor is a high-performance automation control component with a typical detection range of 0-15 meters, a response time of less than 0.5 millisecond, an IP65 protection rating, and an operating voltage of DC 12-24V. Utilizing advanced laser technology, this sensor provides reliable and stable detection of transparent, translucent, and highly reflective objects, making it suitable for a variety of complex industrial environments.

M18 Optical Laser Sensor are used for reliable, non-contact detection of objects made of any material. Compared to other sensors, they have a significantly wider sensing range.

Customer Notice

 

1. This Optical Laser Sensor cannot be used at the moment of power on (within 100ms).

2. Surge protection: When the induction switch is used near areas with surge interference (such as welding operations with a welding machine), please add a surge absorption device

3. When connected to a high current load (such as a light bulb or motor), the initial resistance decreases due to the impact of the current. Only when the current increases, the load resistance increases, and the current returns to normal. In this case, the current impact will damage the induction switch. Please use a small relay to convert and protect the induction switch.

4. Induction switches cannot be powered by autotransformers, and isolation transformers should be used.

5. The connection wire of the induction switch should be as short as possible to reduce noise interference.

6. The AC/DC two-wire induction switch power cord cannot be directly connected to the power supply and must be connected in series with the load; otherwise, the induction switch will be damaged.

 

Matters needing attention

 

1. Laser has potential hazards to the human body and eyes. It is strictly prohibited to use a laser to irradiate others, especially the eyes

2. Laser is an electrostatic-sensitive device. Please be sure to take anti-static measures during transportation, loading and unloading, use, and storag. Anti-static bracelets can be used to prevent static electricity by using anti-static bracelets;

3. This Optical Laser Sensor should be used in a dry, clean, and static-free environment, with a working temperature of -10~60 °C to avoid high temperatures, high humidity, and severe vibration and impact;

4. When using a laser, maintain sufficient heat dissipation, reduce the operating temperature of the machine, and ensure its lifespan

5. This product needs to be used in conjunction with a stable driving circuit, as excessive voltage and current may cause damage

6. Pay attention to working with output power higher than the specified parameters, as it may cause aging of the accelerator components

7. When using high-power lasers, it is important to pay attention to fire prevention and try to keep them in an open and ventilated environment, away from flammable materials and explosive items.
