The thread 8mm inductive sensor consists of two parts. The front end is composed of an iron core wrapped with transmitting and receiving coils, forming the detection part; The backend is the circuit part, which is encapsulated in a plastic or metal casing as a whole. During the operation, the electromagnetic core generates an alternating magnetic field, which creates eddy current effects on the surface of nearby metal objects, thereby weakening the LC oscillation circuit. Analyze the weak LC oscillation circuit changes of the electromagnetic core receiving coil in the amplification circuit section and provide the corresponding output.

Function

 

1. 8mm inductive sensor use magnetic field-induced currents to detect nearby metal objects. If the target is close to the magnetic field, eddy currents will be generated. These currents dissipate power due to resistance, resulting in energy loss in the field and a decrease in signal amplitude.

2. Inductive proximity sensors detect magnetic losses caused by eddy currents generated by external magnetic fields on conductive surfaces. Generate an AC magnetic field on the detection coil and detect impedance changes caused by eddy currents generated on metal objects.

3. Inductive proximity sensors can only detect metal targets. They are unable to detect non-metallic targets such as plastic, wood, paper, and ceramics. Unlike photoelectric sensors, this allows inductive proximity sensors to detect metal objects through opaque plastic.

4. Inductive sensors use magnetic fields to detect objects. Capacitive sensors use electric fields. Capacitive sensors will respond to objects acting as dielectric materials and conductive objects. This makes metal and non-metal objects suitable targets.
