Classification of M18 inductive proximity sensor

 

  • Shielded type: also called embedded type, flush type. The sides of this type of detection coil are covered with metal. Can be embedded in metal.
  • Unshielded type: The sides of this type of detection coil are not covered with metal. Compared with the shielded type, the detection distance is longer. However, since it is easily affected by the surrounding metal, you need to pay attention to the installation location.
